About Matt & The Mayor

 Playing all traditional blues and some originals in the style of the old masters

Duo, Matt & The Mayor, former Noosa Mayor Bob Abbot and Pomona local Matt Purcell, have been performing all over Queensland since forming Matt & The Mayor in late 2020.

Regulars at the Sunshine Coast Blues Club, Apollonian Hotel and Gympie Blues Club, the duo have performed At Woodford Folk Festival, Wolvi Stomp, on the Blues Stage at the Gympie Music Muster twice, on the main stage at Mitchell Creek Blues Fest, at Head Shed, Wolvi, the Mary River Festival, HellTown Hot Rods and with Fiona Boyes.
